April 17, 2008 - Fishing on the Bay

Thursday was a beautiful spring day and Joe Mc. from work was nice enough to take his cubicle neighbors on his boat for a little fishing action.  That's Joe and "Bella Rock".  Notice the five fishing rigs sticking up near the top of the boat.

Joe deployed triple-planer boards on each side about 100 feet out.  Each planer kept two fishing lines on the wings.  There were another four lines coming from the boat, so we deployed eight lines altogether.

Yeah, got one!  32 inches of lean, mean fighting fish.  Biggest fish I've ever caught.

Unfortunately, fishing season doesn't start until Saturday so no Rockfish dinner tonight.
